BC Place stayed live while one of its biggest transformations in years unfolded behind the scenes. Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, ETRO delivered 16 concurrent upgrade projects across the stadium, including enhanced hosting areas, field club suites, accessibility improvements and player facilities. Together, the work elevated the fan, athlete and guest experience while preparing the venue for a global stage.

The real challenge was building around the building’s day job. With more than 50 events on the calendar (including the Grey Cup and Taylor Swift) ETRO used detailed phasing, logistics planning and close stakeholder coordination to keep construction moving without interrupting major event operations. The result is a renewed BC Place, ready to welcome the world while continuing to serve the city year-round.
