SUPERINTENDENT
THE ROLE
The Superintendent is the on-site lead, responsible for overseeing construction activities from the ground up. You’ll ensure that every project is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. From managing daily site operations to fostering a collaborative team culture, this role is critical to delivering on our promises—to our clients and our people.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Here’s what you’ll get up to as the Superintendent:
Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate with Project Managers during pre-construction to develop detailed project schedules and execution plans.
On-Site Leadership: Supervise ETRO staff and subcontractors while promoting a culture of accountability and performance.
Safety Management: Develop and implement Site Specific Safety Plans with support from Construction Safety Officers.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets project specifications, and hold subcontractors to clearly defined standards of quality.
Schedule Management: Maintain and enforce project timelines, ensuring key milestones are achieved in alignment with project and financial goals.
Subcontractor Coordination: Conduct daily check-ins and weekly site meetings to ensure subcontractors are resourced and aligned.
Material & Resource Planning: Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery and resource availability.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main on-site liaison for clients, consultants, and internal teams, providing regular updates and progress reports.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
On top of your passion to work in a growing business full of professionals in the trade, here’s what we’re looking for:
Education: Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction supervision or site leadership roles, specifically with a focus on Commercial and Industrial Projects.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in scheduling tools, construction management software, and safety compliance systems.
Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of construction codes, safety standards, and building methodologies as well as proficiency reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications.
Core Skills: Scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance
Other Attributes: Accountable, excellent communicator and team leader, and effective problem-solver.

Salary range
$135,000 - $165,000
