PROJECT COORDINATOR

 

THE ROLE

As a solution-oriented self-starter whose organizational skills set the bar for efficiency and effectiveness, you bring a sense of confidence to the Project Coordinator role. Working under an experienced Project Manager, you'll ensure they facilitate agile and seamless project processes from end to end. From ensuring start-up systems get up and running, to record keeping throughout, and tying every project up with integrity as they close, you'll be the foundation behind delivering the highest quality projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Here’s what you’ll get up to as the Project Coordinator:

  • Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence, meeting minutes, submittals and RFIs; and maintenance of files, logs, drawings, and specifications. 

  • Supports the (sub) contract management / procurement process through the tendering and awarding of work or supply materials, assisting with the review, and processing invoices and progress claims. 

  • Supports the change order management process by securing pricing from the vendor/subcontractor, reviewing and inputting the data for project manager review, submitting change requests for approval, and following through with (sub) contract change orders / purchase orders as directed.    

  • Collaborates with the ETRO VDC Team to coordinate construction details between site conditions, design disciplines and subcontractor shop drawings

  • Participates in the tracking of project milestones and assists with the creation and maintenance of project schedules. 

  • Supports and prepares for project close out by collecting warranties, O&M manuals, and occupancy documents; creating turnover documents; demobilizing site; and archiving documents.  

  • Supports and maintains project start-up systems and procedures including job site trailer or office, master filing system, project billings, cost accounting system, and project directory. 

  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on every project.  

  • Apply requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance with ETRO HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.

  • Assists with the administration of the Project Quality Plan.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

On top of your passion to work in a growing business full of professionals in the trade, here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 1-3 years of work experience on commercial projects or a combination of relevant education and experience.

  • General understanding of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology.

  • Knowledge of current construction practices.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders.

  • Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs.

  • Proficiency with MS Project, Procore project management software and spreadsheets is an asset

  • Diploma or University Degree is an asset.

Salary range

$75,000 - $85,000
