Accounts Payable Clerk

 

THE ROLE

With ETRO’s continuous growth the time has come to expand the Finance and Accounting team by opening up an Accounts Payable Clerk role. The primary function of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to perform full cycle accounting operations and provide support to the Senior and Project Accountant with daily accounting tasks.

What you’ll get up to as the  A/P Clerk :

  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry and post invoices on a timely basis

  • Process employee expense reports, ensuring all supporting documents adhere to company policies

  • Reconcile credit cards, ensuring all receipts are captured and coded appropriately

  • Assist the project accountant with monitoring accounts payable and vendor balances

  • Respond to internal and external payment inquiries

  • Assist the Senior Accountant with month-end

  • Handle additional accounting duties as necessary

  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties, such as support for the receptionist and filing

  • Participate in all company related training and leadership development activities

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

On top of your passion to work in a growing business full of professionals in the trade, here’s what we’re looking for:

●      Minimum of 2 years experience in a full cycle accounting

●      Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

●      Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Construction accounting software knowledge an asset

●      Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

●      Excellent English communication skills with a focus on customer service
